Our History

In late 2007,  four friends (Kevin, Mike, Matt, and David) got together to play classic rocks songs they loved for fun. After amassing a substantial songlist and playing a few private parties,  they decided to go public with their sound, booking several shows in the Clintonville area of Columbus. 

In the spring of 2009, Mike, our original guitarist, had to leave the band because of family commitments. Turning lemons into lemonade, we decided to expand the band by bringing in another guitarist, Bill, as well as multi-instrumentalist, Evan, making the band a five piece.

Fall 2009 saw another change,  when David moved out of state and was replaced by bassist (and photographer) extraordinaire Jeff. 

 With a heavy emphasis on the music from the British Invasion, garage rock, classic rock, and the Psychedelic era , Black Light Poster plays a mix of songs from the  early 1960's through the early 1980's that everyone knows and loves along.
